There are two
ways to buy.
TCG JAPAN gives you a Store and an Exchange.
Want it right now? Use the Store. Care about the price? Use the Exchange.

- A card you buy here is not shipped; we keep it in our warehouse
Before anything else,
a quick quiz.
Understand this one thing and the Exchange stops being scary.
Go with your gut.
The moment you place a ¥13,000 limit order,
how much is charged to your credit card?
Placing an order only creates a card authorization (hold). It temporarily sets aside part of your credit limit, but no money is taken. You are charged the moment your order fills, at the price it filled at.
Some issuers send a notification as soon as a hold is placed. That message is a record of the hold, not a charge.
A limit order clicks
the moment you move one.
Name your price, then hit “Place order”.
The red line on the chart can be dragged with your finger. When the lowest ask falls to the line, the order fills.
Order book (ASK)
Quantity: 1 card
* The chart above is a simulation used to explain how this works. It does not represent real price movement or real fills. Orders are placed one card at a time. All amounts on this page are in Japanese yen (JPY).
Placing an order
does not charge you.
A limit order uses a two-step card payment: authorization, then capture.
Placing the order only sets aside part of your credit limit. The charge happens the moment it fills.
Place the order
Your price × quantity is held against your credit card’s limit. Your available credit drops temporarily, but no money is taken at this stage.
Authorizing — no chargeIt fills
When the lowest ask reaches your price, the order fills automatically and is settled out of the amount already held. You are charged the actual fill price. If it fills below your price, the difference is not charged.
Filled — charged hereIf it never fills
If the order has not filled by the end of the valid period you chose, it is canceled automatically and the authorization is released. You can also cancel it yourself at any time before then.
Canceled — hold releasedWhat is held, and what is actually charged

Buy right now,
or name a price and wait.
The Exchange gives you two kinds of order. Each has its own trade-offs.
Name your price
LIMIT ORDERWhat you get
- Name your price in ¥100 steps
- Choose a valid period of today, 7 days or 25 days
- You fill at the lowest ask at that moment, which can be below your price
What to watch for
- It may never fill. If the lowest ask does not reach your price before the valid period ends, the order is canceled automatically
- While the order waits for a fill, that part of your credit limit stays held
Buy right now
MARKET ORDERWhat you get
- Fills on the spot at the lowest ask
- No need to decide on a price yourself
What to watch for
- The lowest ask you see is the one from when you opened the page. The trade itself uses the lowest ask at the time payment completes
- If the price has risen sharply, we tell you on the confirmation screen
- You cannot buy while there are no orders on the ask side

Please read before you start
⚠ Shipping cannot be undone
Once a card has been shipped, it cannot be returned to storage. Shipping is charged separately.
⚠ Market order price movement
The lowest ask you see is the one from when you opened the page. The trade itself uses the lowest ask at the time payment completes, so it may fill at a price different from the one you expected.

Who you trade with
Every trade on the Exchange is made with TCG JAPAN. It is not a trade with other customers.
About card condition
Cards may have scratches, whitening on the edges, surface wear and similar. Product images are for illustration and do not guarantee the condition or contents of the actual item.
About “Marketplace” entries in the order book
Entries labeled “Marketplace” in the order book are reference data taken from external flea-market services. They cannot be traded on the Exchange.
When fills happen
Fill conditions are checked every minute. Prices and quantities in the order book may differ from the actual situation.
Checking your orders
To see whether an order has filled, open “Orders” in the footer.
